#8 Games to pass the time
If you are anything like me then you like to keep your hands busy all the time. I always have another tab open on my computer with some type of game to pass the time, whether it be in class, a little break in homework, or just to keep my hands busy while I watch tv. Here are some of my favorite games to play to pass the time.
The New York Times has a variety of brain games to play when you have a little bit of down time. My personal favorites include Wordle, Connections, and sudoku. The only issue I run into with these games is that you can only play them once a day, but there are many other websites that you can play the "unlimited" version of these games.
Wordle is a game where you have 6 chances to guess a 5 letter word. With every guess it will tell you if the letters are in the word, and whether or not they are in the right spot. This game gained popularity a few years ago and still has a plethora of people that play it everyday. When I was in high school my friends and I used to compete to see who could get the word using the least amount of guesses.
Connections is another game on the New York Times website where there are 16 words and you have to make 4 groups of 4 words. Some of the words are tricky because they seem like they belong to multiple groups, but there are 4 specific groups that you have to put together. This one can get really frustrating but it is the one that makes me think the most. My dad and I like to play this one together a lot, he seems to be a lot better at it than I am, but I still enjoy playing it.
Sudoku is a game as old as time and it still is one of my favorites. In sudoku there is a 9x9 grid and it is split up into 9 3x3 boxes. You have to fill out the missing numbers, making sure that there are no duplicate numbers in any single row, colum, or box. The New York Times sudoku 3 levels, easy, medium, and hard, so there is a sudoku for you no matter how new you are to it!
Thank you for reading and letting me share a few ways I keep myself busy!
I think this is the fastest way to kill time, and I usually play some small games on my phone to kill time while I'm waiting to deal with things.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to this method of keeping yourself busy. For me, I also use similar ways to occupy myself, such as crossword books, and sometimes I will even do color by numbers. I will have to try out sudoku one of these days! - Irving Brado
ReplyDeleteThis is a good synopsis of the different games on the phone that can keep the mind active. One game that I like to play is crossword puzzles and the one that I like the best is called Crossword and Jigsaw puzzles.
